The name Ever-Living is the generic name of plants with peculiar characteristics: to be harvested, they retain their color and shape after picking over a long period of time.
Two genders and more over than 1000 species are in Eriocaulaceae family. These plants lie in sierras fields, in various altitudes (Cerrado Highlands more or less 1000 meters or, by the last two photos, more than 1300 meters), from the Chapada Diamantina to Chapada dos Guimarães.
The biggest species can reach a height of 1 meter and have an age of 30 years.
Their growth capacity showed resistant plants, which we can see growing again after a fire (those with a minimum height of 30 cm).
