The west central Brazil is an area that can be divided into two parts:
The Planalto, formed of savannah area, with a well defined climate in 2 periods, rain and drought, and width the "Mato-grosso-goiano", lowlands from which come the sources of the Tocantins and Araguaia rivers. The village of Pirenópolis is at the limit of these reliefs. The village lies at the foot of Pireneus, part of the division of planalto.

Flowering : January to February Description : Bulbous plants, herbaceous and succulent. The flowers are orange color to red, the center of a group of sheets at the end of the thin rod. It measures 20 to 30 cm high. The leaves are opposite along the stem. After flowering, the plant dry.
