Pico do Itambé is a park created by the State of Minas Gerais in 1998, protected park (APA - Área de Proteção Ambiental) located at the north of the state capital of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte (about 300 km), and is part of the Cordillera do Espinhaço (in the northern part of the state). The Pico do Itambé accumulates at an altitude of 2070 meters. The municipalities of Santo Antônio do Itambé, Serra Azul and the town of Serro delimit the park.
