PirenópolisThe west central Brazil is an area that can be divided into two parts:
The Planalto, formed of savannah area, with a well defined climate in 2 periods, rain and drought, and width the "Mato-grosso-goiano", lowlands from which come the sources of the Tocantins and Araguaia rivers.
The village of Pirenópolis is at the limit of these reliefs. The village lies at the foot of Pireneus, part of the division of planalto.

Description : Tree that can reach a height of 15 meters.
The trunk and branches are empty in their center where live a population of ants of the genus Azteca.
The leaves have a petiole of + or - 40 cm in length, are simple, and alternating measuring roughly 50 cm in diameter. They are of gray color on their internal face. They are webbed lobes number 9 to 12.
The inflorescence is in the form of apical envelope 15 cm long.
