Located in the montains of Caparaó on the border between the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, the national park of Caparaó hosts the third summit of the country, the Pico da Bandeira, because of its height, an altitude of 2,892 meters.
Besides the fact of being the division of two states, it also represents the boundary of the Cerrado, leaving the ocean next to the Mata Atlantica.
